Attention New Jersey fight fans! M-1 Global is returning to Atlantic City in a few weeks on August 7 for their third American show (with a guest appearance from Fedor). However, a slight change has been made to the card and we have the breaking news!

MMAWeekly first reported that Pat “Awesomely Awesome” Audinwood, who trains at The Bomb Squad with a pro record is 9-0-1, had signed a contract with the UFC recently. Much speculation about M-1’s financial situation has been tossed around, and I do not know much about it, but I was able to find out who is replacing Audinwood at this event.

Josh “The Pitbull” Thorpe, training out of Port City MMA with a record of 10-2, will be replacing Audinwood. If you want to check him out in action, watch the video above, definitely worth it. Thorpe will be adding some excitement in his bout which will most be likely be against Dennis Bermudez, the fighter originally scheduled to meet with Audinwood. Also on that card will be Tom Gallichio, Shane Primm, Byron Byrd (who set a new record KO time with M-1), Robert Rodriguez and Medi Hassan, among others. You can see some of my photos from the last M-1 event at this linkie here.

Audinwood will make his debut against a returning Aaron Riley at UFC 119 in Indianapolis at the Conseco Fieldhouse.
