Bobby Lashley plays as himself in EA Sports MMA

In honor of Strikeforce’s event tonight, please enjoy some new footage of EA Sport’s MMA, with one of the men fighting tonight trying his bulky hands at the new game. Heavyweight competitor and former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley, one of the many heavyweight characters you can play as in the game as we listed earlier this week, plays against… some unnamed fellow for the time being, as himself, while his opponent plays as Strikeforce heavyweight champ, Alistair Overeem.

What do we learn from the video? That these two guys press the pause button way too much, but aside from that, we see many new things such as how the clinching system works with wrestling and strikes, takedown defense and counter-strikes after the defense, and that Lashley and Ubereem spend a lot of time sweeping each other but not attempting any submissions until towards the end of the fight. Once they do, we get to see some of the mini-games involved in EA Sports MMA innovative system, which I am awkwardly naming “The Choking Game,” until I am told what the real name for that is. Please, parent groups, don’t hunt me down!

Who wins the epic virtual showdown between Lashley and Overeem? Watch the video to find out! In the meantime, let me know what you think of this in-game footage (the game, not the camerawork which I am not responsible for) and your predictions for tonight’s Strikeforce event!
