On October 23, 2010, Ring of Combat held their 32nd event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. John Cholish defeated Rich Moskowitz by an inverted triangle for the ROC Lightweight title in a match of great grappling prowess. In one of the featured bouts, Munah Holland defeated Kim Couture, which we showed you a few photos from yesterday. Kim looked lost for most of the fight and was unable to utilize her height, weight, alleged muay thai skills and anything other than her ex-husband’s last name to add any noteworthy impact to this fight.

Other bouts included Bellator tryout winner Giedrius Karavackas adding another win to his record with an armbar victory over Chris Connor and Robert Connor defeating Marc Berrocal with a sleeper, after working furiously on very tight omoplata and armbar attempts. Brendan Barrett drew with Randy Smith, a rare surprise on a pro fight card, and in two terrible ways to end a fight, Constantinos Phillippou versus Marcus Finch was ruled a no contest after one nut kick too many courtesy of Philloppou, and Erik Oganov versus Joshua Key was also ruled a no contest after Oganov went to town with about a dozen illegal punches to the back of Key’s head, knocking him out and leaving him stumbling for minutes, once he finally was able to stand. Other fighters on the card included George Sheppard, Melissa Bopp, Claudio Ledesma, and Liam Kerrigan. Special guests in attendance included Dan Severn, Shonie Carter, Dean Lister, and some local boys like Al Iaquinta!
