At “Fedor vs. Silva” on February 12, Josh LaBerge will take on Anthony Leone and Jason McLean will square off against Kevin Roddy, pictured above covered in tattoos, in two preliminary featherweight matches. The fight was confirmed by

Laberge is a veteran on the East Coast MMA scene, having competed in ICE Fighter, WCF and Reality Fighting in Massachusetts, and two winning appearances in Bellator FC. His opponent from Team Bombsquad, Leone is also no stranger to the WCF and Bellator, and has competed against Renan do Nascimento Mota Pegado in the WEC in a losing performance. In the other fight, we have Mclean who is a comparatively newcomer to the MMA scene, with a record of 5-3 since his pro career began in November 2008. Most recently, he lost to Felipe Arantes by decision at UCC 3 in New Jersey. His opponent, Kevin Roddy, is also coming off a loss courtesy of Rafaello Oliveira at DaMMAge Fight League’s first MMA show last Thanksgiving eve and holds a deceiving record of 9-11-1, with his losses coming from guys like Jim Miller, Calvin Kattar Dennis Bermudez and Deividas Taurosevicius, all extremely tough fighters who you may have heard of.

Taking place at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., “Fedor vs. Silva” will hold the first two fights of the opening round of Strikeforce’s heavyweight grand prix, which includes the comeback fight of Fedor Emelianenko against former EliteXC champion Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, who we spoke to last week about his participation in the tournament and why he left American Top Team. Also scheduled for the main card is former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski trying to get out of his slump against sambo specialist Sergei Kharitonov.
