Wow, my first Judge Dredd reference on this site. I feel like it’s long overdue. Former UFC Champion Tim Sylvia has found himself a new full-time job to supplement the big paydays he gets from MMA as a law enforcement officer with his local police department. Sylvia said it was always his dream to be a cop and now he is living his dream. Thanks to this video from HDNet, we see “The Maine-iac” in action, and by action I mean checking guys with broken tail lights and driving around looking for more guys with broken tail lights. This isn’t an episode of “Cops” so don’t expect to see Tim hopping over fences! On the positive side, Tim says he does not give tickets for pointless things so if you are ever in Sylvia’s turf, fear not if your lights are on the fritz, so long as there is no dead body wrapped up in your back seat.
Tim also says which fighters he wishes he could lock up, which happens to be Wes Sims and Andrei Arlovski. “If I had to choose either one, I would choose Arlovski over Wes,” Tim told the cameraman. Apparently, beating Wes and kicking him after their fight, then defeating Arlovski two times in a row isn’t enough for the vindictive giant. Aren’t you glad he’s on our side!
Sylvia, who recently signed with Titan FC along with UFC castaway Phil Baroni, is set to face Abe Wagner at Titan FC 16 on January 28 in Kansas and has been riding a four-fight win streak, after losing three in a row to Ray Mercer, Fedor Emelianeko and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
