The UFC’s return to Japan this weekend was a successful venture, with many an upset happening. One that the Japanese fans surely enjoyed was the victory of Takanori Gomi, who was in desperate need of a win.
Faced off with Eiji Mitsuoka, Gomi had a tough first round against his fellow countrymen, but came back early in the second with a TKO that lifted the audience out of their seats, and most likely saved Gomi from being fired. However, a closer look at Gomi’s hands after tells quite the story.
I am not sure who to feel worse for, Gomi, or for Mitsuoka?
